What is additive manufacturing? This course explores this technology, better known as 3D printing, as it relates to the future of manufacturing. The participant will review how additive manufacturing can produce more complex and profitable products with smaller batches and lower inventory levels while reducing waste and improving product quality. They will explore the current state of additive manufacturing and discover what is common in modern manufacturing facilities, and how additive manufacturing will affect a career in manufacturing in the coming decade.
