The role of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is changing in part due to the rapid changes in technology. The day-to-day activities of AMTs now also require significant expertise in avionics. This course provides AMTs with a clear understanding of avionics to expand their abilities and competency in the following areas: Basic Electronics (a review), Basic Digital Computer Systems and Software Avionics, Specialized Skills, Communications Systems, Navigation Systems, Indicating and Recording Systems, Auto Flight System, Integrated Modular Avionics Systems, Central Maintenance and Information Systems, Cabin Systems.
