A flight dispatcher develops the flight plan for every aircraft route. Collaborating with the captain/pilot in charge, the flight dispatcher’s job is to get the aircraft to its destination safely at the scheduled time, and at the lowest reasonable operating cost. In this course, the learner will peek behind the curtain of what goes on in preparation for a light from the point of view of a dispatcher. Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to define the roles and responsibilities of a Flight Dispatcher in reparation for a flight, list the steps needed to safely dispatch an aircraft on a mission, and describe situations that could arise on route for a Flight Dispatcher.
