Canada and many other parts of the world experience freezing conditions, snow, and sleet for several months of the year. To ensure the equipment and aircraft are in good and safe working order, proper precautions must be taken. This course covers the operations of an airport, hanger, heliport, taxiways, runways, etc. during winter conditions. Learners will understand the hazards associated with ice, snow, and frost on both the aircraft and the vehicles used to maintain the aircraft and the airport. On completion of this course, participants will be aware of the safety procedures required during winter operations.
